It is with the deepest regret that the Midstate REMSCO announces the passing of long time member and previous chairman Stanley Lonchek.  Stanley has been active in EMS for nearly 50 years and will be missed by the entire EMS Community.  Calling hours for Stanley will be Sunday March 14, from 2-6pm at the Wilcox Funeral Home in West Winfield, the funeral will be Monday March 15 at 10am.  Our condolences go to Ann and family.

County and CQI meeting are: Oneida County March 16th 18:00 at the 911 Center, Base Rd, Oriskany. Herkimer County March 18th 19:00  at the Schuyler Fire House, 120 Newport Rd. Madison County March 24th 18:00 at Greater Lennox in Canastota. Please send a representitave from your agency.

The Basic Original and Refresher class scheduled for this evening at Floyd Fire Department with Jack Hasse instructing has been cancelled.

The Paramedic Advanced Standing class scheduled for this evening at the EMS Training Center with Joe Taylor instructing has been cancelled.

Due to inclement weather both Paramedic classes are canceled for today.  Our next class will be ACLS on Saturday February 27th at 9AM.  Due to this unforeseen change we will not be able to split the sessions on Saturday.  All students should plan to be there from 9AM-5PM per the original class schedule. Faxton-St. Luke’s EMS Education will be holding a Geriatrics Class for all CME participants on Friday, April 9, 2010.  This three hour class, with Tony Salce instructing, will start at 6:30PM at Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps (COCVAC) located at 7489 East South Street in Clark Mills (for GPS directions it’s listed as Clinton).  To register for this class please complete the Oneida-Herkimer Class Registration form on this website or send an email, with your name and phone number, to linda@midstateEMS.org.
