2018 Online Core Content Program

2018   EMT-B  AEMT-CC and AEMT-P Online Core Content classes will start in March all sessions will be at the EMS Training Center 14 Foery Drive, Utica.  Each program will consist of two “in-person” sessions lasing about one hour each.  Ses sion one is a registration session and session tow is a wrap up session.  Candiadates must attend both sessions.  You may attend either day for session one or either day for session two.

Advanced EMT Program

Central Oneida County Ambulance will host an Advanced EMT class starting Wednesday February 7 ending on Thursday June 21.  The class will be held on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-930PM, 7489 East South St. Clark Mills

Certified First Responder

Middleville Fire will host a First Responder class starting Monday Jan 29, this class will meet on Monday evenings from 6-10PM. Register on line at midstateems.org or call Bill 315 738 8351

Dextrose Shortage

Our region is starting to experience a shortage of IV infusion D10.  There is however a limited supply of D50 available until further notice if your agency can not get D10 for IV infusion it may substitute D50 for IV as a substitute in the protocol.  We will continued to monitor this shortage and keep all informed.

Daytime EMT Class

Herkimer County Community College will host a daytime EMT Original and Refresher Class starting Jan 23, 2018 the class will test on May 17, 2018.  Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM to 1230 PM occasion Stauday sessions register at midstateems.org or call Bill 315 738 8351

Sunday Basic EMT Original and Refresher

Starting Sunday January 14, 2018 and finishing with the state certification exam on Thursday June 21, 2018.  This Sunday class will be hosted at the EMS Training Center 14 Foery Drive Utica NY. Season Greetings

It is hard to believe that with a blink of an eye, 2017 is wrapping up.  2017 was a busy year for EMS with the roll-out and implementation of the new Collaborative Protocols.  Thanks to the participation of all EMS providers, we have been able to deliver quality state of the art medical care for our patients and our community.  2018 will be a great year and we would like to wish all provider and families a safe and happy holiday.

January EMT-B Original and Refresher Classes

Faxton-St. Luke’s EMS Education is offering two EMT-B Basic Original and Refresher Classes that are starting in January.

The Midstate Training Center will be the location of an EMT-B Original and Refresher. This class will run Sundays from 8:30am-3:30pm, starting January 14th. Melissa Lockwood will be the instructor.

HCCC will be holding a EMT-B class every Tuesday and Thursday from 8am-12:30pm, starting January 23rd. Erik Merrell will be the instructor.

Happy Thanksgiving

As 2017 starts to come to end, we would just like to take a minute to thank all of the EMS community for all that you have done, again this year. For the sacrifices you have made in order to help others. We would also like to thank your families and friend for allowing you to have the time to give. Also, a special thank you for those of you who will be spending your Thanksgiving on call, on duty or on shift.
